2. What information we collect

We collect the following when you use RefineMyDraft:

• Account information — your name and email address when you register.
• Documents and text — the content you submit when using our services. This is used solely to deliver our services and is not retained longer than necessary.
• Usage data — your account balance, activity history and timestamps of activity on your account.
• Payment data — when you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We receive a record of the amount paid and credits added.
• Communications — if you contact us via the feedback form, we store your name, email and message so we can respond.

3. How we use your information

• To provide the services you request.
• To manage your account and balance.
• To process payments and send receipts.
• To respond to support requests and feedback.
• To improve the service — using aggregated, anonymised usage statistics only.

We do not use your documents or text submissions for any purpose beyond delivering our services. We do not use your content to train, fine-tune or improve any models or external systems.

4. How long we keep your data

• Account data — kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time from your profile page.
• Submitted documents — your submissions are stored temporarily for you to access, then deleted after 30 days.
• Payment records — retained for 7 years for legal and accounting compliance.
• Feedback messages — kept for up to 2 years, then deleted.

5. Service providers we use

To run the service, we share limited data with third-party providers for hosting and infrastructure, payment processing (Stripe), and external API providers. Your text is sent to a third-party API provider only to deliver our services. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Cookies

RefineMyDraft uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for this reason.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data from your profile settings.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (via your profile page).
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

8. Data security

RefineMyDraft is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
