How word credits work

1 credit

= 1 word reviewed or reshaped

Submit a 2,000-word essay for review and it costs 2,000 credits. Use WordShaper to reduce a 3,500-word report to 2,000 words and it costs 3,500 credits.

4,000

credits included every month

That's around 5 full essay reviews, or several rounds of WordShaper reshaping. For most students and professionals, this is more than enough for a month.

Monthly

credits reset on renewal

Your monthly credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle. Credits you've purchased as top-ups are separate — those never expire.

Instant

refund if a job fails

If a review or reshaping job fails due to a technical error on our side, the credits you used are automatically returned to your account.

Frequently asked questions
Will I be charged during the free trial?
No. Your card is verified when you start the trial, but no payment is taken until your 7-day trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you will never be charged.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your subscription automatically converts to the paid plan (£5/month) and your card is charged. You'll receive a reminder before this happens. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel from your dashboard at any time. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds on the current month's subscription fee, but you keep your access and credits until the period ends.
Do unused credits carry over?
Your 4,000 monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle — they don't carry over. However, any credits you purchase as top-ups never expire and carry over month to month indefinitely.
Do you store my card details?
No. All payment information is handled by Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment processors. We never see or store your card number. We only receive a reference to your payment method and the last 4 digits for display purposes.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
If a job fails due to a technical error on our side, your credits are refunded automatically. We do not offer monetary refunds on subscription fees for the current billing period, but you can cancel immediately and access continues to the end of the period.
What file formats are supported?
We support .docx (Microsoft Word) files for file uploads, and plain text paste via the review form. Your reviewed document is returned as a .docx file with tracked changes, ready to open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.
Is there a limit on document length?
Your subscription includes 4,000 credits per month — that's enough for a 4,000-word document in one go, or several shorter submissions. If you need to review something longer, simply top up with additional credits.
What is WordShaper?
WordShaper is a tool that reshapes your text to a precise word count — reducing or expanding while preserving your meaning and style. It uses the same word credits as the review tool and is included with your subscription.
